Welcome To Our 2008 Spring / Summer Church League Season
This is our 4th year of hosting Adult Leagues and we are excited about having both the Men's and Coed / Youth Divisions at Freedom Park.
The Men's Division will play on Monday Nights and the Coed/Youth Division will play on Tuesday Nights.

2008 League Schedule
We are going to have 3 league sessions in 2008.  The first session will begin the week of April 28 and end with the championship playoffs the week of June 23.  The second session will begin the week of June 30 and end the week of  August 18.  The Fall session will begin the week of September 8 and end the week of  November 3.  We will not play on Memorial Day week or 4th of July week.  We will also take Labor Day week off but hope to run a Church Tournament over the weekend.

As in previous years, the Men will play on Monday night and the Coed/Youth will play on Tuesday nights.  We can fit a maximum of 16 team on each night.  Based upon a number of 16 teams, our format will be to play 6 league games, then start playoffs with all teams.

No Outside Food and Drinks
Our major source of support is through our Snack Bar.  Players are allowed water or sport drinks during for the games but there is otherwise no outside food or drinks allowed inside the softball complex.  You are free to picnic outside of  the gates in the park.  We strive to have healthy
choices of food at a reasonable cost.

There is No Smoking or Alcohol allowed inside the softball complex.
Smoking Area is located Outside the front gate.
Freedom Park
A little background about Freedom Park.  DF Softball leases the softball complex from North Highlands Recreation and Parks District, who in turn , is leasing the entire park from the US Air Force.   DF Softball receives no financial or maintenance assistance from NHRPD,  the County and City of Sacramento, McClellan Park or the US Air Force.  All costs associated with operating and maintaining the softball complex are generated through tournaments and leagues.  Therefore, we must enforce a few rules in order to keep our use of the facility.
Fellowship and Safety
The purpose of our league is to promote fellowship among the participating churches.  Players include those who participate in competive tournaments and those whose only experience is playing in this league.  Safety of all players is our primary concern.  Therefore, Hot Bats, including the Miken Freak and Easton Synergy will not be allowed.  Competitive players, please use your descretion regarding the use of any other bats that could be considered a Hot Bat.  We don't want any defensive players hurt and there is no reason to use Hot Bats in this league.

Labor Day Tournament
We have scheduled a Church Tournament for Labor Day Weekend.  Start planning ahead and also spread the word to other out-of-town churchs within your denomination that may be interested.
